NHL, Part II
The Martens family and Harrison
what a waste of a day. sure, i'll get paid $125 but i almost didn't seem worth it by the end of the day. from the constant being told to wait in our seats becuase they were going to be shooting soon, and then them not using us for an hour, to the depriving us of our dinner, it was just silly. there were more than a few people murmering about this was not a good way for the NHL to try and win some fans back. now i know it wasn't them directly, and more the producers, directors, etc., but it still won't look well on the NHL and the 400+ extras a day for 6 or 7 days.
on the up side, i had a great time hanging out with great people for two days.
oh right, i forgot to mention that we didn't get into the shoot on tuesday, but were able wednesday. so tuesday we spent to gether anyways, wasting 12 hours as if we were in the shoot. we did lunch at earl's, hung at the martens' residence, played an awesome game on monopoly, had beans and weiners for dinner, and went to the cheap movies and saw transporter 2. don't see it. trust me.
and i won monopoly. it's now in writing. and you can trust this source of ... media?
here is another's take on the day.
and here is a local news article.
