a post not for the sake of just posting
random photo
i keep misplacing my camera, or it's batteries are dead, or something else like i'm not interested in posting or i'm le tired and go to bed - these are my excuses...
i'm sorry for the lack of posts. really i am. i wish i would/could write here more often. i mentioned to another "blogger" that i find that as the more popular/read ones/my blog, the harder i find it to just post anything. i now find i am always trying to be aware of who is or could read it. i have never really been one to just chronical the daily goings on my life. i just let the pictures do that.
but when i do write, i like it to have a bit of personal depth, or maybe cause the reader to think. and these are usually safe for anyone, including Mom, to read. but it seems the demand for text is ever increasing. which directly co-relates to the decline... hmm, strange.
so should i start a new, "secret", blog so i can blabber and rant about friends who aren't, my downer days, that girl i want to see more of but find it... i dunno, ackward?, or my day at work where the word "homo" gets used way to often? maybe this would get me back into the good ol' bloggin' ways, and would cause an increase on this one?
maybe i should just continue posting weird daily photos of anything? it could pay off...
Tree circuit board design
Hey Rich,
Im a musician in Vancouver, a member of the industrial-electronic-rock band FMTA. Im somewhat doubting youve yet heard of us as our debut disc is still in the works Anyways, Ive been brainstorming ideas for our album cover and I was thinking of doing something like a leafless dead-looking tree with its branches turning into wiring on a circuit board. I was just searching on google to see if thats ever been done, and came across your tree-circuit graphic. It is really freakin cool, dude. ;)
Anyway what Im wondering is.. would you be willing to create a modified version of that for us, or allow us to use that image (higher resolution of course) as part of our album cover? Ideally I would replace the base of the tree and the initial branches with part of an actual tree photo to bring my original idea to reality or whatever, but I LOVE how you made all the circuitry stuff branching out like that (forgive the pun)
If youre interested in doing a design like that for us at all please let me know what kind of rates you charge and/or some kind of estimate (I am actually completely assuming you do freelance design work, correct me if Im wrong just guessing based on the quality of your art + your email address).. Or if you are cool with us simply using your design and working with that ourselves, thats good too of course. Alternatively if you arent interested in any of this just let me know, no big deal. I just had to contact you after finding that ultra sweet piece of art ;)
Let me know what you think.
Sincerely,
-Andrew Matecha @ FMTA
Feel free to check our site at http://www.fmtaband.com Altho disregard the audio demos as they are worthless quality compared to our upcoming disc. ;)
